The Grizzly M550m is a forestry mulcher for tractors from 150 to 285 hp. A powerful double-sided drive delivers full power directly to the rotor.
Features
The highly wear-resistant, two-stage counter blades made of Hardox® protect the housing against wear and improve shredding performance. The counter blades are bolted and easy to replace. An optional horizontal row of counter-blades can be added below the flap.
The patented turbo clutch (optional) compensates for power peaks, protects the mulcher and tractor driveline, increases performance and the life time of the drive components, and ensures a smooth rotor start-up.
A robust push bar (rigid or hydraulically adjustable) with four tines guides larger material into the rotor in a targeted and safe way. The push bar and hydraulic flap operate independently.
3-point linkage, CAT 2 and 3, with two vertically arranged mounting positions and an adjustable top link point for flexible and comfortable mounting on various carrier vehicles. Optional front mounting available.
A powerful two-sided drive with spring-tensioned powerbands transfers the forces to the rotor in the best possible way.
The hydraulic flap can optionally be equipped with counter blades for additional shredding and perfect mulching results, while also providing extra protection.
The patented W-kinematics keeps the angles at the PTO shaft consistent to prevent damage while ensuring optimal lifting height.
The proven Z-kinematics is also optionally available.
Rotor with patented UPTs tools or BCS tool system.
The chain curtain provides additional protection during mulching.
Low-maintenance side drive shafts and lubrication points that are easily accessible from the outside.
