Land clearing
Land clearing is the process of removing vegetation and objects from land in order to make it usable for a defined purpose.

Land clearing and recultivation
Land clearing and recultivation affect many industries from agriculture to construction to transportation. It can also be done in the context of environmental protection, such as the removal of invasive species or ecosystem restoration. Often times mulchers or rotavators are used which leave the shredded biomass in or on the soil, further improving soil fertility.
Frequently asked questions
Prinoth mainly uses tracked vehicles from the Raptor series in combination with powerful forestry mulchers for land reclamation. The high engine power, robust chassis and specially tuned hydraulics enable efficient shredding of shrubs, rootstocks and organic material. The hydraulically or mechanically driven forestry mulchers are also used on the appropriate carrier vehicle. These include agricultural tractors or equipment carriers specially developed for forestry.
Prinoth machines are characterized by high torque, stable rotor technologies specially developed for mulching applications and wear-optimized tools. The precise coordination of engine, hydraulics and attachment ensures constant performance even under high loads. Integrated protection systems such as the patented turbo clutch increase operational safety and efficiency during demanding clearing work.
Yes. Prinoth tracked vehicles have optimized weight distribution and low ground pressure, making them ideal for sensitive ground and uneven terrain. The stable chassis ensures high traction and control, even on slopes or in areas that are difficult to access, a significant advantage in recultivation projects.
The choice depends above all on vegetation thickness, soil condition and area size. Raptor caterpillars with high-performance forestry mulchers are usually used for dense vegetation and root material. It is crucial that engine power and mulcher weight are optimally matched to ensure constant throughput without loss of power. If carrier vehicles such as tractors are already available, Prinoth offers a wide range of different attachments for the right performance.
Prinoth mulchers are designed for controlled, gentle tillage. As a rule, mulching is carried out above the soil surface or the topsoil is lightly mulched. Theworking depth can be precisely adjusted so that above-ground biomass is completely shredded while the mineral soil remains largely untouched. Shallow cultivation is recommended for recultivation work in order to maintain the soil structure and load-bearing capacity. Several centimeters of draft can be achieved with so-called deep milling skids.
When establishing new plantations or planting strips, Prinoth rotary tillers are used, which mulch up to 50 cm deep in the soil and at the same time mix the mulched material with the soil. Tree stumps and rootstocks are removed; this loose, fertile soil for new plantings is the basis for healthy plant growth.
Prinoth offers a wide range of product solutions for ecologically and economically sustainable plantation management.
Prinoth tracked vehicles (Raptor series) offer very good handling characteristics on slopes and soft ground thanks to their stable chassis, high traction and balanced weight distribution combined with an optimum center of gravity of the machine. The low ground pressure reduces sinking and rutting, which is a great advantage, especially on sensitive surfaces.
Wear depends heavily on the material, the working depth and the driving style. Prinoth relies on wear-resistant tools and robust rotors that are designed for continuous operation.
Operation is clearly focused on the driver and mulching. Intuitive controls, good visibility and ergonomic operating elements make long working days easier. Many functions can be adjusted directly from the cab, which minimizes work interruptions and increases productivity. In addition, there are electronic assistance systems that optimize machine performance and at the same time take the strain off the driver.
Regular visual inspections, checking tools and protective components as well as clean cooling systems are crucial for reliable operation. Prinoth machines are designed to be easy to maintain, so that daily checks can be carried out quickly and downtimes are kept to a minimum.
The high area output, low downtimes and the elimination of removal and reworking make it very economical to use. One machine performs several work steps in a single pass, which saves time, personnel and operating costs.
